This is probably the most common thing everyone thinks of when they think 'bedroom storage'. But what goes wrong with this idea is what we use the under-the-bed drawers for. The best thing to go under the bed would be extra linen, blankets, pillows, bed sheets and pillow covers, curtain sets, drapes, rugs, carpets and things like that. These are not things you need on a daily basis, so it wouldn't be a problem if they went into a less accessible place in the bedroom. When you are going to have guests come over to stay at your place, you can easily just pull the drawer out and arrange for their bedding. Similarly you do not change the curtains or drapes in your room everyday, so this can go under the bed too. However, if you change them regularly - like weekly, or every fortnight - then you can group your curtain and drapes sets into two and keep one of the group in a cupboard. This group can be exchanged for the one under the bed once a month. Simple enough, isn't it?
The bedroom is the place where your day begins and ends. You probably strive to keep it looking good so you can feel relaxed there. If you happen to have piles of stuff in your bedroom, then this is the right time to clear the mess. When you have a disorganized bedroom, it will not just look unpleasant, but it can even cause feelings of stress. However, it is not too late. Try out the following bedroom organizing tips and you can get your room in order.
The first item to look at for your new design is the bed frame. Your bed frame is the most important piece of bedroom furniture and becomes the deciding factor on the design of the rest of your space. Choose a bed frame that is the right size for the room. A king size bed in a smaller room will just overpower the space, while a double bed in a large and spacious room will look small in space and minimised by the volume of space in the room.
Kids' bedroom sets: Last but not least, if you're looking for a bedroom set for kids, it's better to go simpler and choose something more affordable because the furniture will wear quickly. Choose additional pieces that are practical, that will actually be used, and a style that will stand the test of time - that means no to the race car bed.
Your architect and your interior designer can only give you ideas about what to do in your room so that you can properly keep all your stuff. But they would think from the book. Aren't you a better person to judge how many things you have, which ones you need the most, or on a daily basis, which ones you need only for a couple of months every year, and which ones you don't need at all unless you have guests visiting you? You - and you alone - would know the use of the things that are in your room, and hence, you would be the best person to come up with storage ideas for your bedroom!
If you aren't going to hire a professional to work on your room, you need to analyze a few things yourself. First, understand the size of your room and its shortcomings or limitations - what you can and cannot have. Decide how much storage you need. Try to focus more on utility than on flamboyance. Remember, less is more. Analyzing the dimensions of your room will help you finalize certain elements when you check the ideas mentioned below. If you have already liked or shopped for certain accessories, incorporate them well, i.e., make space for them while you are designing your room. The gallery below will help you with some ideas.
Quote from Bedroom Paint Colors :
As soon as you've picked the major color, you must keep it in mind when deciding on the color that you're likely to use to accentuate the total room. The very first step starts with wall paints and not simply monochromatic colours, but incredible texture effects which spread vibrancy on the whole property. You will really have to use suitable colors to balance out the blue also. On account of the qualities it possesses, red is among the favored colors to be applied at home. Peach color may also be utilized in the dining hall, as it provides a cool affect. It is preferable to go with a couple colours and form a scheme or theme.
